Based on the shared observation of the need to create a new, unifying structure, all the stakeholders in the metal construction, metalwork, locksmithing and metal cladding sectors created La Maison de la Construction Métallique, in order to meet the major challenges and transformations to come. A transformation reinforced with the entry into force of the RE2020 as well as the arrival of restrictions on the environmental footprint of materials and works, which require the metal construction sector to offer solutions.
ConstruirAcier is a non-profit organization (governed by the French law of 1901) whose objective is to promote metal architecture and construction. Representing the entire steel industry, its mission is to raise awareness of the advantages of using steel among architects, design offices, engineers, teachers, students, and in building and public works projects.
The activities ofCTICM“Centre Technique Industriel Construction Métallique” is divided between scientific research on metal construction, development of the steel sector and its valorization, transfer of knowledge and technical assistance to companies, training and teaching, standardization, certification, technical study services, industrial support or even application of the ecological transition.
