June 10, 2026 The Union des métalliers officially presented, at a press breakfast held in Paris, the industry's new ambition: to develop Métal Expo into an independent trade show by 2027, making it the leading national event for metal construction and the metal industry. This launch marks a pivotal step for all stakeholders in the sector, united by a common goal: to strengthen the visibility, cohesion, and innovative capacity of a sector that is strategic for the building industry and the environmental transition.

An initiative supported by the entire metal industry with committed ambassador partners.
In a context of profound industrial, regulatory, and environmental changes, the metalworking industry is choosing unity. The Union des métalliers, a trade branch of the French Building Federation, is initiating this movement with the support of the sector's main professional organizations:

  • La Maison de la Construction Métallique
  • Le Syndicat de la Construction Métallique de France (SCMF)
  • Le Centre Technique Industriel de la Construction Métallique (CTICM)
  • Le Réseau ESA
  • L’Enveloppe Métallique du Bâtiment (EMB)

On this occasion, all the partners formalized their commitment through the signing of a Letter of commitment for the Metal Expo 2027 trade show. This agreement marks an unprecedented collective dynamic in service of the industry. By signing, these organizations confirm their commitment to Métal Expo 2027 and their desire to actively contribute to its development, the enrichment of its content, and its visibility to all stakeholders in the sector.

A Foundational Letter of Commitment for Metal Expo 2027
In this letter, the partner organizations affirm a shared ambition: to make Métal Expo 2027 an event entirely dedicated to metal construction, capable of bringing together all stakeholders around their environmental, technical, economic, and human challenges. Métal Expo 2027 thus positions itself as a meeting place for manufacturers, construction companies, producers, technical organizations, and clients, with a clear mission: to become a showcase for the expertise and innovations of the metal industry. The trade show will be held on September 28, 29 and 30, 2027 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles.


This collective commitment translates into strong operational actions:
  • contribution to in-depth discussions on the issues and content of the trade fair;
  • mobilization of professional networks and members;
  • dissemination and promotion of Metal Expo 2027 in their respective ecosystems;
