About the show

Métal Expo is the only event in France entirely dedicated to the challenges, expertise and innovations of the metalworking sector in the construction industry. In 2027, the trade fair will embark on a new chapter in its history by becoming, for the first time since its creation in 1998, an independent event. This is a significant decision, driven by the Union des Métalliers, to provide the industry with a dedicated event that meets its needs.

The trade fair will take place on 28, 29 and 30 September 2027 in Hall 7.1 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, an iconic venue for major trade events in the French capital.

Whether it be building envelopes, structural work, glazed façades, security systems and metalwork, or interior and exterior fittings, companies in the metalworking sector are involved in increasingly complex projects, with ever-higher demands in terms of quality of workmanship, performance, sustainability and site coordination.
At the same time, the sector is going through a critical period: changes in construction methods, evolving environmental regulations, recruitment challenges and the need to modernise production tools, a slowdown in new-build construction, and economic pressure on companies.

In response to these changes, the trade fair has been redesigned with a brand-new format to foster meaningful discussions centred on projects, innovation, technical requirements and visitors’ investment decisions. In an atmosphere combining business and conviviality, Métal Expo will be the nerve centre of the entire industry for three days of meetings, debates and key networking events.

Organised by the Union des métalliers and co-organised with PYC Etc and Infopro Digital, Métal Expo benefits from both the credibility of a professional organisation committed to the sector and the expertise of recognised partners in the media and B2B events sectors.

An event organized by Union des métalliers

Union des métalliers is the professional branch of the French Building Federation dedicated to metalwork companies. It represents, supports and defends the interests of the profession with public stakeholders and the entire construction sector.

For the first time, the metal industry is coming together for an event entirely dedicated to it. This new edition of Métal Expo will clearly involve all the major players in the sector, including Union des métalliers, which is fully involved as a founding member of the Maison de la Construction Métallique (House of Metal Construction).
